WHY JOIN WWP

Walking With Purpose is a Catholic Bible study experience that meets each woman exactly where she is. What sets us apart from other Catholic studies is our focus on the heart, taking the information learned each week and translating it into personal action. No previous Bible study experience is necessary to dive into a WWP study.

and Number 1 reason to join Walking with Purpose…

Jesus wants your friendship and your focus on him this year!

  • The program incorporates at-home Scripture study, weekly small group discussion, and talks on relevant study material.

  • A typical WWP session starts with snacks, brief social time, and opens in whole group prayer. Small groups discuss the week’s videos or scripture study homework focusing on personal application questions. Then, small groups share prayer intentions and then close in prayer.

  • The study guide (purchased when you register for WWP bible study) and a Catholic Bible are all that you need. The recommended Bible translations to use for a WWP study are the New American Bible (NAB) Revised Edition or the The Revised Standard Version, Catholic Edition.

  • Sickness, work, and life happen. We all miss a lesson here and there. Just be sure to get back to your group as soon as you can. Not only is consistency important, but also your group will miss you!

Testimonials

  • “Four years ago, I had a deep desire to continue growing closer in my relationship with Christ and to get back to a bible study, like I did many years before.  The Holy Spirit led me to an announcement in our Sunday bulletin about the Walking With Purpose women’s bible study, Grounded in Hope, that was open for registration.  I signed up and have been a Small Group Leader for the past 3 years!

Being a Small Group Leader has helped me discover, develop, and put into practice the spiritual gifts of exhortation and mercy while growing in knowledge of God's Word & His unlimited Love. I also have a whole new family of strong, loving, Christ centered women who support one another, laugh with one another, and pray for each other. We bare our souls, knowing that we are in a safe place of trust and love and that we aren’t the only ones struggling in this journey on earth.  We look forward to a new study each year to continue to develop our personal relationship with Our Lord, and with each other.”

    Doris Barbier

  • “God has used the WWP studies as the beginning of a transformation of my heart and mind. The studies continuously reveal His abundant love and who I am to (and in) Him. The group of ladies I’ve shared these studies with have been an extension of that love and such a blessing to me.”

    Missy Grant

  • “Walking with Purpose small groups at St. Ann have provided me with consistent connection to scripture and our Catholic faith through beautifully written women’s studies that are applicable to daily life.

I have truly enjoyed getting to know a diverse group of women, all at unique places in their faith and stage of life. The wisdom and genuine community is a fit for any woman that desires to grow in their love for Jesus in a warm, nonjudgmental, laugher-filled, confidential, small group community.”

  • “I have been a participant in WWP at St. Ann's since the very first session several years ago.  I had done Bible studies before, but I really liked the idea of a women's Bible study, so I signed up and convinced my sister and mother to sign up as well.  It took a couple of studies before our group really gelled and the members have changed some over the years, but what really makes WWP special is our small group.  In my small group, we discuss deep, meaningful topics; learn about our faith and encourage each other in our faith journeys; support each other in any way we can through good times and hard times; and we simply have fun together!  I would encourage any woman who is looking for a way to grow in their relationship with Christ to give a WWP Bible Study a try.”

    Peggy Herubin

  • “I have been a Christian for most of my life and love studying God's word and learning more about Him.  After I got married,  I converted to Catholicism and began learning more about the history and beauty of the Church.  But something was missing. I was needing a bible study to dig deeply into scripture but also aligned with my Catholic beliefs.  Then a friend told me that St. Ann's was going to host a morning WWP study and I jumped right in.  It was the missing piece that I needed.  The room was warm and inviting, the women were authentic and encouraging to one another. It was a safe place to learn more about Jesus, it didn't matter where anyone was in their faith journey, all were welcome. The bible study allowed me to grow deeper in my faith, made me a better friend, wife and mother and provided friendships with other Godly women. It has truly been a blessing.”

  • “Before Walking with Purpose, I was a cradle Catholic who had never really opened their bible. My heart had been seeking a way to understand scripture and grow deeper in my faith, but I just didn’t know where or how to start. Joining Walking with Purpose was truly life changing for me. Not only did it present scripture in a way that was relatable to women in every season of life, but it deepened my relationship with God through His word, and surrounded me with sisters in Christ that have developed into the most beautiful friendships.”
