What is the Peru Mission?

Join us at Santisimo Sacrament Parish in Piura, Peru where we join Fr. Joseph Uhen and his staff, serving the faithful in the pueblos surrounding Piura. You will be able to share in the daily work to help in the struggle against poverty and to experience the heroic faith of the Peruvian people.

What we do

  • Attend Mass Daily

  • Build bamboo houses

  • Deliver food & clothes to the pueblos

  • Staff Medical Clinics

  • Visit the elderly & orphans

  • Teach English in the schools

Accomodations

  • Mission facility is adjacent to Santisimo Sacramento Parish

  • Most Rooms sleep 4 -6 with shared bathrooms

  • Cook staff provides meals in the missionary facility dining room

  • Bottled water is provided

 

TRIP INFORMATION

VOLUNTEERS

  • 18 years or older

  • Families with Children 12-18 years of age

We will build bamboo houses, deliver food and clothes, as well as visit the elderly and orphans. In addition, we are seeking providers, support staff, and translators to run a medical clinic that will provide primary care in the pueblos on the outskirts of Piura.

WHAT IS THE COST?

  • Room & Board + Misc = $475

  • Airfare = $1,100 - $1,300

  • Non-refundable deposit of $100

    A group of missionaries will travel together from DFW. A travel agent is ready to book your itinerary, or you can make your own arrangements. In the event of plan changes preventing your participation in the Peru Mission 2024, your deposit will be retained as a donation for building bamboo houses and supporting the medical clinic.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • The mission facility is adjacent to Santisimo Sacramento Parish in the city of Piura. A kitchen staff provides our meals in the mission's dining room inside the facility. Bottled water is always available. Most rooms sleep 4 people with shared bathrooms. A few smaller rooms with baths may be available. Rooms and accommodations are arranged by the trip coordinators.
