Hospitality Ministry
The Hospitality Ministry exists to extend an experience of hospitality to all who pass through our doors each Sunday.
Hospitality roles
GREETER
A Greeter is the first person parishioners see when they come to Mass. Greeters are stationed at each of our 4 entrances. They give a hearty, “Good morning (or afternoon)” to each person as they walk in, and offer, “Have a great day to each person as they leave."
WELCOME CENTER
Volunteers serving at the Welcome Center are primarily responsible for providing information and answering questions about our parish, activities, ministries, as well as general information about St. Ann’s. Welcome Center Volunteers are asked to arrive 30 minutes prior to the start of Mass, gather with the other hospitality volunteers at the Welcome Center desk, say a short prayer and prepare to serve. Welcome Center Volunteers will also need to stay a few minutes after Mass ends to answer questions as our parishioners leave.
USHER
Ushers perform a variety of duties which allow the Mass to flow smoothly and parishioners to have a positive, prayerful experience. Ushers greet parishioners, provide handouts and guide to available seating. Ushers take up collections and direct the Offertory Procession. At the appropriate time, Ushers provide direction and guidance for parishioners wishing to receive Holy Communion. At the conclusion of Mass, Ushers open doors and provide orderly dismissal. If addition, usher will respond to parishioner’s special needs and help to maintain order and safety within the congregation.
ARCHANGEL MINISTRY
The Archangel Ministry recruits, trains, and guides volunteers for safety measures during weekend Masses. These Archangels undergo background checks and maintain Diocese Safe Environment certifications. Will you join this dedicated team ensuring safety during Mass?
MEDICAL TEAM
The medical Team consists of Individuals trained to respond to medical issues or emergencies that arise during Mass by keeping the individual calm and comfortable until resolved or 911 arrives.
DONUT DUTY
Donut Duty Volunteers make coffee and set out coffee and donuts after all the Sunday morning Masses in the Hospitality Corner.
