Sacrament of Matrimony
“So they are no longer two but one flesh. What therefore God has joined together, let not man separate.” Matthew 10:8-9With the excitement and joy of preparing for your wedding day, we also want to help you prepare for your marriage. The marriage preparation process can take 6 months to a year to complete, so we encourage couples to begin as early as possible.
Getting Married?
As with most sacraments, the Sacrament of Marriage requires preparation. The marriage preparation process, which focuses on developing the skills necessary for married life, consists of the following steps:
Initial Meeting
Prepare/Enrich Questionnaire
Witness to Love Program
Retreat
Natural Family Planning Course
Marriage Preparation
Parish Boundary Guidelines
Here at St. Ann, we are grateful to serve our registered parishioners and residents of Coppell. Therefore, we are only able to accommodate couples who are members of our worship community in those ways. If neither of these applies to you, we encourage you to contact the Catholic parish in the community where you live or regularly worship.
If a couple living outside of our boundaries desires to become long-term, active members of St. Ann, they may request a wedding date after being registered and active parishioners for at least six months. Active parish life includes regular Mass attendance, participation in parish life, and consistent financial stewardship through online giving or envelopes.
