These are the smiling people who greet you before each Saturday and Sunday Mass and provide information for everyone after Mass. Greeters are the first impression of our parish. If you enjoy meeting new people, being a greeter may be just the right ministry for you.
We want our church to be a warm welcoming spiritual home for everyone but we need help. If you can give us 20 minutes before Mass or 20 minutes after Mass we would be so grateful. We can reserve your seats while you greet. You can greet as a family. Thank you!
Please contact Tom Samson at 972-365-4838 (email@example.com) or Mary Sprong at 214-206-5458 (firstname.lastname@example.org) for more information and to join one of the Greeters Ministry mass Teams
How we greet and provide hospitality for our guests says a lot about our practice of good stewardship.
There is a lot of anecdotal evidence suggesting that the ability of a first-time visitor to have a meaningful experience of Christ in the liturgy is directly impacted by the warmth of the welcome extended by the local worshipping community. When people say hello, the worship experience is enhanced. A warm welcome is part of evangelization, work necessary in a church’s mission to help people discover or renew faith in Christ.
