Thank you to all who participated in our St. Ann Communications Survey. Below are a summary of the results along with a bit of insight.
We asked what your most preferred way to receive Parish information is: Majority chose the bulletin, which just topped email and the parish website. We asked this question to help us determine the areas we should focus our efforts among the different ways we provide information. Based on this feedback, we don’t have plans to stop publishing the weekly bulletin.
We also found that the bulletin was the information resource accessed most frequently, followed by email. The response to how often parishioners visit the website was insightful and different than what we expected. Fewer than 15% visit the website weekly. Of course we would have preferred to see weekly visits higher.
The good news is more than two thirds find the parish website easy or very easy to find the information they were looking for. We’d like that number to be even higher so will look for ways we can make it easy for many more people.
We were very pleased to learn that parishioners find most of our information resources with content that is useful or very useful, but you also told us we can improve in some areas. Plans are underway to improve the content for the resources like Facebook and Mobile app. You’ll also notice opinions were almost evenly split when it came to Communique publication
Majority of parishioners are comfortable with the number of emails we send. We use Flocknote as our email service provider, and we are working on ways you can sign up to receive emails from groups you are interested in.
For the question asking about alternatives ways to pursue if we are able to shorten End of Mass announcments, we received a lot of great feedback in comments. While most people find End of Mass announcements useful, there is a strong desire from you that we explore using Flocknote email to send out extended end of Mass announcments. Stay tuned to for upcoming changes.
We also found that fewer people than we like have downloaded the St. Ann App. The app is a quick way to find Parish information at your fingertips when you’re on the go. Download it today and check out a special feature of the app Fr. Kevin’s ‘Rev-Kevalations videos. You can find the St. Ann app on your mobile device’s app store. Search for St. Ann Coppell. Of those parishioners who have downloaded the app, majority of you feel that we send the right amount of push notifications.
We were relieved to see that 92% of you gave the Parish a good score in meeting your engagement and communication needs. There’s always room for improvement which is one of the main reasons we conducted this survey. We are also pleased that almost 550 of you would like to participate in future focus groups to help us measure how we are meeting your ongoing needs.
