    • Message to St. Ann Parish From Fr. Henry
St. Ann is being targeted by gypsies who arrive at the church during weekend Masses and beg parishioners for money as they exit the church and go to their cars.   In a Diocesan meeting this past week, we discovered that this was happening at a multitude of Diocesan parishes.   The other local protestant churches are having the same problem as well.  All the churches have instructed their parishioners not to give them donations of any kind.  This is a large group of people that target churches.  They are professionals.   They are not always the same people and do not always have the same children with them.  We have found that at times the children are not even their own but part of the gypsy group.
Please do not give them money, for your safety do not confront them, but please notify an usher, priest or greeter so that we may call the police.   I thank you in advance for your cooperation in this matter.
