Content Specialist

General Summary of the Position:

As a Content Specialist, you'll play a crucial role in developing and implementing our content strategies. You'll drive marketing and communication initiatives by distributing bilingual content, managing our website, and collaborating on content creation. This role isn't just about routine tasks; it needs someone who can take charge, be proactive, and stay organized. Strong leadership qualities are essential for guiding projects to success, motivating and working closely with team members and volunteers, and keeping everything running smoothly. By embracing these traits, you'll not only meet objectives but also drive impactful change in bringing people to Jesus, forming disciples, and sending them to transform the world.

Responsibilities:

Content Creation:

  • Produce compelling written content for various marketing channels, including website pages, email campaigns, song sheets, and announcements.

  • Identify, recruit, and collaborate with writers to contribute diverse perspectives and content styles.

  • Collaborate closely with the Marketing Director and Digital Media Specialist to ensure a consistent brand voice and messaging.

  • Initiate, manage, and grow a blog, collaborating with guest bloggers to achieve a monthly growth target.

  • Monitor blog analytics and adapt strategies for continuous improvement.

  • Apply and refine content strategies to support the overall marketing goals of the parish.

Multichannel Distribution:

  • Skillfully distribute content across various channels, ensuring a consistent bilingual presence on the website, song sheets, announcements, newsletters, and bulletins.

  • Develop metrics to monitor audience receptivity and update content delivery strategies accordingly.

  • Collaborate with the team and ministries on cross-channel campaigns to amplify content reach.

Website Management:

  • Collaborate with the team to ensure website content aligns seamlessly with broader marketing initiatives.

  • Take ownership of updating and maintaining web pages, ensuring visual appeal and user-friendliness.

  • Learn and implement basic web design concepts to actively contribute to enhancing the website's overall appeal.

  • Own and implement updates to the website, focusing on user experience improvements.

Translation Ownership:

  • Lead the coordination of translation projects, collaborating with translators to meet clear expectations and deadlines.

  • Ensure the accuracy and quality of translated content, taking ownership of the entire translation process.

Project Management Communication Campaigns:

  • Project manage communication campaigns for various ministries within the parish.

  • Collaborate with ministry leaders to define campaign goals, timelines, and key performance indicators.

  • Ensure seamless execution and coordination of communication strategies across ministries.

General Support:

  • Actively contribute to the execution of parish events and marketing initiatives.

  • Participate in team meetings, collaborating with the marketing and communications team

  • Take on additional tasks to facilitate learning and professional development.

 Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Communication, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).

  • Demonstrated willingness to learn and grow within a dynamic environment.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Bilingual – English and Spanish.
